AMEA Power Signs USD 1.1bn Solar and Wind Deal with Egypt

AMEA Power, an Emirati energy company, finalized a deal with the Egyptian government to build a 560MW solar plant in Aswan and a 505MW wind farm in the Red Sea governorate for a total of USD 1.1bn.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Mabouly, the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy; Mohamed Shaker, the Minister of International Cooperation; Rania Al Mashat, and the UAE ambassador in Egypt; Maryam Al Kaabi.
