The Prime Minister has revealed that Egypt is targeting GDP growth of 7% within 3 years. The Minister backed up this ambitious goal with the fact that Egypt was one of only a few countries in the entire world to achieve positive GDP growth during FY20/21, a year in which the Covid pandemic’s devastating economic effects were still persisting. Not only was the GDP growth rate positive, but it amounted to an impressive 3.3%.
