The Suez Canal Economic Zone announced that a trial run of the freight train linking Ain el-Sokhna Port with West Port Said Port has been conducted successfully. They also said that a comprehensive plan has been made to address the limited flow of container traffic through West Port Said Port by enhancing the integration of ports in the region. The plan was formulated by the Suez Canal Economic Zone in partnership with DP World, the operator of the piers in Sokhna Port, as well as the Customs Authority, in order to ensure that investors are furnished with the best possible climate for their businesses to flourish.
