The Minister of Planning and Economic Development said that public investments totalled EGP2.4tn in the last 5 years, an increase of 275% over the previous 5 years. Total current investments in FY20/21 are EGP827bn, of which public investments are EGP637bn.

She also said that there has been growth in the per capita share of public investments. This sits at EGP6,142 in FY20/21, which is a 25% increase YoY. She expects this figure to reach EGP8,828 next year, representing an increase of 45% over this year’s per capita share.
