New Securities Issuances Soar by 44% in 2021

The FRA (Financial Regulatory Authority) reported that issuances of securities during 2021 shot up by 44% versus 2020, reaching EGP280bn. The budding mortgage financing industry saw explosive growth of 138%, and investments made by insurance companies also increased by 22%. Financial leasing witnessed impressive growth as well, rising by 36%. The number of beneficiaries of MSME financing grew by 9.4% to reach 3.5mn individuals and entities.
