GOEIC (The General Organization for Export & Import Control) reported that Egypt’s non-oil exports jumped 20% YoY in 1H22 to reach USD19.4bn. The fertilizers & chemicals sector represented the biggest share of these exports at 22% of the total, and grew by 35% YoY in 1H22. This was followed by the building materials sector’s exports with a 19% share and an increase of 20%. Almost all other export sectors also witnessed increases.
