Unemployment Drops Significantly YoY In 2Q21 To 7.3%

In its most recent report, CAPMAS (The State’s Center for Public Mobilization & Statistics) stated that unemployment in Egypt dropped significantly in 2Q21 by 2.3pp to reach 7.3%, down from 9.6% in 2Q20. On quarterly basis, unemployment declined by 0.1pp QoQ in 2Q21 versus 1Q21.
